View Full Version : Creating menus with free software
Can anyone do a step-by-step guide on how to do a menu with free software,
including subtitle & chapter menu?
I would REALLY appreciate it.

Just look for guides by Bjs , and you'll have a full start .
By the way , thats me over there ...
Not upto that chapter stuff yet , working on several guides using freeware tools .
1:Chapter menu will be atleast 4 weeks a way
2:Subtitle guide is almost completed
3:Motion menu with motion thumnails is completed - not yet online
4:working on button highlight pictures as seen in many movies - blair witch project is one that has these
5: Play all button almost completed
6: Audio menu selection - work in progress
7: Subtitle menu sellection - on hold till others completed
Using mostly just :
The gimp - For menu's , and those requiring alpha channels (motion menu's)
Dvdauthorgui - Menu creation and compilation
Pgcedit - Command editing and connections , plus import titles
Vobedit - Just handy manipulation , and button creations
Ifoedit - Manipulation , and play dvd back to test buttons
Imagetools to burn final dvd compilation
Yes , I even use Ifoedit to play dvds from my dvd drive , funny stuff , although i had to install the ac3filters to get audio ....
As soon as all these guides are completed , I'll retire back to the farm untill another great free program turns up ...
