I'm having trouble ripping the subs for a dvd that has a slide show with BOV on each picture. Dif4U and every other program I've tried reports the subs are too short to rip. Is there an alternative method I'm not aware of?

isn't there a treshold you can set for the duration of subs to be ripped?
duration is set in the options of doitfast4u - setting to a min duration of 0 should cause all subs to be ripped
you can always rip these manually (as you'll have to rebuild the VTS manually anyway seeing how none of the current big3 apps can properly reauthor slideshow VTS sets (especially ones w/ BoV) - just load up vsrip and follow the prompts

I had DIF4U set to 0. VSRip failed as well. Any other ideas?
do it manually w/ vsrip... could be an issue w/ doitfast4u
or try subrip

I've had the same problem, I think it's a bug of doitfast4u; I've fixed the problem by setting the Vobsub_Thresh to -1 using regedit, because doitfast4u don't allow to enter the minus(-) from the gui.
Vobsub_Thresh is located in the registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DoItFast4U.
With this setting, now doitfast4u process all the subtitles with no problems.
