View Full Version : Odd DVDShrink re-authoring problem

The Ring of Honor Wrestling company puts out their shows on pressed dual layer discs that they sell themselves (not mass market). To back them up, due to the large amount of motion, I want to split them onto 2 discs. Here's the problem:

In DVD Shrink's reauthor mode, under main movie (for what should be a show just under 3 hours) I get:
Title 2: Duration 2:57:47, Size 6,589 MB
Title 3: Duration 2:44:22, Size 6,090 MB (!?!?!!?)

When I open the VIDEO_TS folder in TDA, I get the same thing in the title set list, except Title 3 reports no audio. When I actually load the title set I get these runtimes:

Title 2: 1:37:47
Title 3: 2:44:31 (with no audio)

I take it there's some weird merge thing going on. How do I work around it?

Thanks.

TDA often shows odd runtimes so ignore it. You should be ok with selecting Title 2 as that shows the 3 hour runtime.

You can always process the files in Shrink to a folder on the hard disk then, use a software player to test them to make sure they are ok. If they are ok, burn them. If title 2 is wrong then try processing title 3.

I think title 2 is what you want.

in DVD Shrink go to >>view and check Combine Shared Titles. see if that helps.
i don't think your dvd is 12.5 gigs big. ;)

Looks like selecting Title 2 worked. Thanks.
