View Full Version : Having trouble joining VOBs from two movies

I have used the guides for joining two movies to one DVD, using IFOEdit and VOBEdit, but can't figure out why DVD Decrypter can't read the resulting TS. I've done everything step by step, but I must be missing something somewhere.

First, I rip both with DVD Decrypter, creating all the VOBs, BUPs and such, into separate folders. If I use DVD Shrink's Re-Author feature and drag both Main Title Sets over like the guide says, it will only burn one of the movies. Why? It shouldn't be that hard if the guide says it can be done. If I use VOB Edit following its guide, then IFO Edit following its guide, DVD Shrink will not read it. The guides don't say exactly what to do after each step, and I'm sure it depends upon which program one uses to burn, rip, etc.

I'm sure someone can tell me the easiest way to do what I'm trying to do: put two smaller movies onto one DVD. I have many questions.
Thanks in advance.

Go here http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/flipper
It is the same principle. Combining a split disk or two movies to one.

Regards,:)

P.S. You don't need IFOedit with this method.

I use dvdshrink (for ripping and authoring) and :
dvdshrink reauthor for 2 separate movies
dvd2one for combining (one movie)

I figured it out! I was using DVD Decrypter & DVD Shrink originally, but when I burned the discs and viewed them, I only noticed the one movie as the time cursor moved from start to end. I didn't know that the cursor would continue at the start again for the second movie - I figured both movies would be on the same time line. Now I have three copies of what I wanted in the first place!

DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink are truly awesome programs, and their authors deserve a huge amount of thanks.
