View Full Version : Negative Values with VobSub, what to do?

I am using GordianKnot to encode my movies. In some few cases I get negative (inverse, complementary) timestamps from VobSub (Code2 e. g. The Aviator, King Arthur). Until now I calculated the correct positive stamps manually, but that can't be the easy way, as this is some boring work to do :scared:

There must be an automatic procedure to do this, right?

which tool do you use to extract subtitle ?
the old vobsub sometimes made this error but with vsrip this problem have been solved (for my case).

try vsrip else it seems to me you need to add the whole length (or the PTS) of the subtitle in the idx vobsub delay.

good luck :)

I am using VobSub 2.23 (by Gabest) that is part of the GordianKnot suit version 0.35.

So there is no way but to use an external tool? Hope GK adds a more suitable tool, soon...

UPDATE: Tried SVRip (that is contained in one of the GK subdirs) and it works! Bad, that the GK GUI does not link to this tool...
