Projector vice dvd player

If someone to project something vice dvd player. Would I keep the footage interlaced still or deinterlace it?

most newer DVD players has progressive outputs... you can keep it interlaced if this is the case with you.

also, if there's a video input on your projector, i'd say it has a built-in full-framerate deinterlacer. it'd be stupid for it not to.

deinterlacing the video then encoding to DVD will just throw out half your motion and a fair bit of vertical resolution, which you should never do unless you must.
