Forwarding this for my friend, who doesn't have an account here...

I'm trying to add subtitles to a DVD. What I usually do is:
1) Demux video to .m2v, audio to .ac3 etc. Get chapter files (.chp). Make my subtitle (.stl).
2) Remake the DVD with DVDMaestro: join video/audio/sub, add .chp, edit playlist to match original.
3) ifoupdate, then get image with ifoedit

This worked fine with most of the DVDs I worked with, but I'm stuck on this DVD with 2 PGCs, one for extended cut and one for theatrical version. They mostly point to the same cells, but I can't make the playlist same as the original PGCs. I can't even get the right .m2v from the DVD. It seems DVDMaestro just doesn't cut it this time. What program do you suggest I should use? I tried PGCEdit but it was a bit too hard for me. If this is what you suggest, please be as detailed as possible. Thanks in advance.

PgcEdit is a basic authoring program, not a muxer.

Try muxman, or if you want a 1 click, then perhaps TMPGenc.DVD Author is a possibility (not free but 30 day full working trial is available AFAIK). A guide is on the doom9 guides site.
