I know that this is not recommended (crhoma pb) to deinterlace in yv12 file. It's better to deinterlace the source and then convert it in yv12...
My problem is that I have an interlaced dv source. I want to have a progressive DVD.
-So I deinterlace the video in avisynth (Tommocomps or fielddeinterlace) and then i convert it into yv12 color space : the result is not enough good to me. Then I try the sangnom filter and the result is far better. BUT sangnom requires yv12 colorspace so that I have to use converttoyv12() before deinterlacing..
Currently I don't see chroma artifact in the encoded MPEG-2 (using HC) and the deinterlacing is very good but :
I there's a way to use sangnom before the yv12 conversion ?
or does sangnom gives the possibility of using a most appropriate color space ?
or is there a most appropriate deinterlacer (I know that there are plenty of) ?
