View Full Version : Rips play back too fast!

I have successfully ripped a number of DVDs on an older computer, but using my new one with latest version (and an earlier one) of GKnot and XviD, the rips I make play back too fast (maybe 2x). I am running XP with SP1a, using a Pioneer DVR-108. This occurs at the VOB ripping stage so when I go to create the d2v the problem is already present.
Anyone?

Well d2v projects have a habit of running at twice the speed in the first place. This wouldn't be the same issue as someone had a few weeks ago, namely you encoded the movie with GK and the compression test button enabled?
Can we see the log?

Sorry people! I've just re-ripped it and, this time, encoded it and the final product runs fine. I had made a couple of other rips recently that played back fast even at the final stage and since I'd never previously noticed d2v files running 2x I assumed this was still the case.
Sorry for wasting your time. I didn't know d2v's were prone to running fast.

Me neither - I've never managed to make that happen...

as ann0_malous is using GK, and the question has cropped up before, I assume the potential issue is at preview in DGindex. Maybe I assumed wrong. I explained wrong at the least :)
