Hello!

I create DivX films near every day. I make DivX DVD's at least once a weak. Subtitles, everything. BUT I have never copied a DVD. That's the fact. I don't know how to do it. I'm sure, this is the stupidest question You've ever heard, but: how can I copy a DVD to a single DVD+R (of course my maine question is the compression between the original DVD and the empty disk, which is of course smaller).

I personaly use dvddecrypter to rip so that I get an ISO: decrypted image copy of the dvd in my hard disk.

After that I use DVDshrink to select the streams I want and the compression level(s)to get another ISO image that I can write to an DVD+/-R using dvddecrypter.

Thank You for your answere. Only one thing, what is crazy for me: the rules. You have never overdriven a car if that was forbidden; You have never copied your mates's examination in the school; You have never made a DivX film from a DVD, what is against law...

Oh, I'm pretty much sure that there are alot of users passing here doing the same thing as you. The big difference is that they are smarter enough to read and comprehend the rules before hand to know what exactly is taboo to say here in fear of being striked, suspended, or banned. Your extra information via your bragging is setting you up for a downfall. It's like shouting in a theater when they have previously shown a warning to keep the unnecesarry noises down during movie play. This is Doom9's playground and he sets the rules. The same rules you are ding for also prevents us from helping as that would make us accomplices.

In my opinion, all you really needed to post was that you were a newbie at copying your DVDs to DVD+Rs. Simple and widely understood.
