I have to create wide angle menu in one project, understand that in wide mode there must be two separate subtitles marked as wide and letterbox - both scaled accordingly to their flag, but it just dont work for me. Using Scenarist 3.01, when I create wideangle menu then buttons overlays show OK in computer player (powerdvd, mpc), but are completely misplaced in regular DVD player. Can anyone advice me where is the problem and how to avoid this behavior?

You need to tell us also what kind of display you' re using and how did you set up your player.
Generally for 16:9 tv you would use wide subpictures and set player for widescreen and for 4:3 tv you use letterbox subpictures and set player for letterbox.

I have normal 4:3 TV and dvd player is set to 4:3 letterbox. I assume that it works automaticaly - if DVD player is set to letterbox, then it uses letterbox titles, if it is set to wide, it uses wide titles.
Are there any rules which titles place first - wide or letter or it doesnt matter at all?

It should work that way. Probably it's the authoring problem. Check with Ifoedit or Pgcedit.

Found solution - problem is that I didnt know I have to define higlights in Scenarist separately for both subpictures - wide AND letter. There is very small and easily overlooked button in simulation window :-)
Now it works fine!

:) There are a lot of small easily overlooked buttons in Scenarist.
