I've just tried to mux Nero AVC video and HE-AAC audio tracks. I've tried to watch processed file. Nero ShowTime shows that movie has audio track, but I don't hear sound... :(

Try with an other player...btw, have you got the right audio filter to decode the he-aac stream ?

I'd like to get right video-audio file in result. I want to all players play it without any problems...

The audio file (.mp4) plays normal when it's standalone. But when I mux video and audio, I can't here the sound. :(

I've tried another short video clip (few seconds) and audio works fine.

By the way, could you make this feature in next version - it will be nice if audio tracks will have names. For example "English Stereo" or "Spanish 5.1 audio track" etc.

PS: I hate console software and GUIs like YAMB and BeLight are God gift for people like me. :)

Thanks for YAMB.

Hi AlexeyS,

Did your AAC-HE stream contain "6 No channels" by any chance?

I noticed a while ago that ShowTime player (NEaudio.ax) does some weird things with "audio only" 6Ch AAC-HE in their raw .aac form and within the .mp4 container!

But here's the weird thing... ShowTime plays the muxes... but veeeery sloooowly!

And here another weird thing, if you generate muxes using 6Ch AAC-HE streams originally contained within .mp4, the finished muxed file plays back at twice normal speed via VLC player.

Cheers

No, my AAC is Stereo (converted from stereo AC3 track)...

Well That is odd,

...because my "raw .aac stream" 2Ch AAC-HE A/V muxes play fine in ShowTime Player and all my other players... even hardware players!

ok lets start the simple way:

are you sure that the aac audio track is in the .mp4? as kurt said: try another player and check whether it works with this one

that way you will see if there is a problem with the .mp4 or with showtime

If set ShowTime 2 players "audio output" setting to "Use SPDIF", instead of say, "Use 6 Speakers": -

All encodes containing multi-channel AAC, are played back... veeeery sloooowly!

I hope there's a fix for this soon?
