Figures! I finally bought the damn pro version 2 only weeks ago. Now I have to spend another 10 bucks to upgrade.
Just my luck. :(
Great program, BTW! If you don't have it, now's the time to invest!

For all of you who never tried DvdReMake because of the lack of a DEMO....
There is now a Demo for DRM Version 3.
You can download version 3 demo and try out the jazzie new customizable user interface. Set up your DVD bits/pieces in resizable dockable windows so they make sense and make you more productive. Demo is functional except that it only exports a small portion of each chapter in movie for test purposes. I find it easy to find and get rid of unwanted stuff on a DVD. As you learn more, you can do more. Check it out...
DvdReMake Pro new features: http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/new_features_v3.php

Fee you need to pay to upgrade to v3 is just the difference in price between the programs. It would have cost you the same if you would wait till v3 release and buy it now. But in this case you would have to live without DRM Pro for weeks while you were waiting ;)

Amazing software. Its unfortunate that doom9 doesnt cover it on the front page (many of the for-pay 1-click solutions have their own forum). Yes, you have to pay for it but it is both the most powerful and easiest to use software available for editing a dvd.

Didn't realize that, Dimad.
Thanks for the great program. It sure simplifies a lot of things for me. :)

Does this one actually edit audio streams out? BTW, Dimad, in a previous post, you swore that the 2.x series of pro would have this feature. I am going to find this post!!!

Thanks. But all kudos should go to rubicat (I'm not sure if he is registered here at doom9). Without him it would not happen.

Dimad, thanks for the rapid development of such wonderful software. For anyone that hasnt played with DVD Remake you dont know what you are missing. It has all of the power of ifoedit with the ease of the one click software packages - really just amazing stuff
Version 3.1 Change Log- 21 Jul 2005
-convert cell to still: preview cell to select frame to be used as still, right-click and "convert to still". It keeps audio and subs (can be removed as usual) and original duration of the cell (in most cases).
-hidden buttons are not automatically "forwarded" to nonhidden button in some cases
-crash when "don't keep" undo/redo option is selected
-keep found "skiped blanks position" to avoid searching next time block is shown in Domain Content pane
-if SHIFT is hold while copying PGC/VTS (in DvdTree pane) it is added to the clippoard (instead of owervriting what was there); add copied PGC/VTS will add all copied so far items
-copy/paste blocks in DomainContent pane (supports multiple selection; paste is allowed only when selected blocks amount is the same as amount of previously copied blocks; selected blocks are replaced one-by-one; even multiangle blocks can be replaced this way)
-show edited block size (instead of original) in Domain Content pane
-show edited block size (instead of original) in Preview pane
-"Convert menus to still" action for Language Unit (menus) in DVD Tree pane: hides menus without buttons, converts menus with buttons (not yet converted) to still
-"Replace with still" action (can be invoked from Block Preview pane): replaces block video with selected frame
-edited flag is not set in some places after disabling/editing audio/sub tracks (affects "update export")

Sometimes great new features can get buried in the change logs. With version 3.1 of DvdReMake came "Convert to still", "Replace with still", and "Convert menus to still". These work great to cut discs with a lot of motion menus down to size. You can select a frame in an individual motion menu, or with one click you can hide all menu transitions and convert all menus to still, for an entire LU. Real cool

I have submitted this idea to Dimad some time ago, without success (here (http://www.cdr-zone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=760&highlight=)). Jeanl was the first guy interested to develop a program to implement the idea. The method was publicly discussed here, at Doom9 forum (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=88964), and implemented in MenuShrink by jeanl, and, at the same time, in VobBlanker by jsoto. See, for example, the MenuShrink beta thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=90499&highlight=MenuShrink). As far as I know, DRM is the third program to implement the menu to still method.
I'm glad to see that it was indeed a great idea. :)

Yeah, I know the idea is not new. I have used VobBlanker's convert to still function. There was a poll on the CDR-Zone forums last year asking users to pick their top 5 requests for features in DRM, and the convert to still thing was one of the most popular requests. Well, better late than never, it's a reality in DRM now too.
The reason that I emphasized that DRM 3.1 added the feature, is that a couple of days ago, I got a PM on CDR-Zone from a longtime DRM user, where he asked if I knew of a program that could convert a motion menu to a still. He hadn't noticed that the feature was added to DRM with version 3.1.
Cheers

Yes, idea is not really new. Actually VidHack was the "first public pusher" as far as I know: http://www.cdr-zone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=687&highlight=menu
There is a similar post here at DOOM9 as well. And sketch of the solution was done long ago before it was discussed in details here.
But of couse without MPUCoders deep knowledge of a subject and jsoto's, jeanl's research - it would be still just an idea. :D
