Now that Nero Digital certified players are out there, one thing I've always wanted:

Do any of them support Nero Digital 5.1 Sound? Stereo won't cut it, and is -- so 1960's :)

Anyone have any specs on the Apex players that were supposed to come out a few months ago (that I haven't heard a peep on since their announcement)

If any of them support 5.1 Nero Digital sound, I'll buy it. Otherwise, it won't even be considered.

Yes the RJTech RJ-1500DVXII (http://www.rjtech.net/rj1500ii.html) can :D

Please have a look at what Wesley Hester (a fellow Doom9 Forum member) wrote about the player: -

Do you have the Siemssen SCO 5000 ND player?

I only ask, because a couple of people with this player have previously reported that 6Ch AAC-LC playback is not correctly mapped from the analogue outputs!

Not to revive an old thread, but does anyone know what happened to the Apex players that were supposed to come out in march? It seems Apex went under restructuring, which is what I am assuming delayed that.

My wish for a Nero Digital (Maximum Definition profile) player with 5.1 audio support now needs to have ethernet capability.

The WAF on my HTPC is too low, and none of the remotes I've tried work with the Nero audiot/video player well. And while I can get Nero files to play in Media Center, there is no chapter or FF/RW support. Besides, I dont want to waste a $1000 PC to play movies anyway.

I dont want my Nero digital movies back on DVD, it was half the reason why I put it in Nero Digital; I dont want to use any removable media.

Thanks -

Where abouts do you live in the world agressiv?

Over the last few months we've seen the launch of the the following high-def players: -

The SnaZio SZ1350, the Quartek WHD500-V9 and the ConTel DV-228N1 (apparently they all originate from the same factory). All have been fitted with 6No analogue audio outputs capable of passing 6Ch AAC and 6Ch WMA Pro.... However, neither of them is NeroDigital certified.

So... If you want a high-def player with NeroDigital certification and 6Ch analogue audio outputs, you will have to wait a while longer for the Zensonic Z500 which is currently undergoing "beta" testing... So it wont be long before the player is officially released.
