formatted my harddrive to put in a new one. install nimo codec pack 5 build 8 in full, can't play back divx 5 or xvid or w/e. just won't play, or if it does it freezes on the first frame.
i try to open, say a divx5 movie in nandub, says couldn't locate decompresser for format "DX50" (unknown).
and it needs a vfw compatible codec, direct show filters used by wmp are not acceptable.
so then i thought it might be the files that couldn't be accessed or w/e when i was installing nimo, so i went into safe mode to install it. now when i play back video wmp crashes right away
never had this problem before, no clue what to do now. been on this for about 2 days solid.
