I want to get my movies to fit the PSP's 480x272 screen, but when I convert my DVD's VOB files to AC|VI and then to MP4, they come out as 360x240. What should I do to make the movies at a 480x272 screen size?

If your useing OSX , this program will convert your movies to work on the PSP. http://homepage.mac.com/major4/psp.html

Don't know if there is anything similar for windows...

PSP doesn't support videos with 480x272 resolution off the memory stick. Sony capped the resolution you can use if playing a movie off a memory stick. Most likely to encourage people to buy UMDs. The most amount of pixels that can be used are 76,800, while 480,272 is 130,560.

You need to encode at a smaller resolution. 368,208 and 400,192 are nice for widescreen movies.

How is this done in AutoGK? I only see width options in advanced settings

AutoGK current encodes only as a Divx or Xvid AVI, the PSP needs specifically different header information. PSP video 9, 3GP Converter, and the Rapiz Encoder is three pieces of Freeware/Donationware that work very well. I wish someone would come up with a way of encoding with Xvid and translating to the PSP format. I read that 3GP might use Xvid but I doubt it I think it uses FFmpeg. 3 GP's Encodes are a tad cleared so I use that for all my Full screen encodes and Use PSP Video 9 for Widscreen at 368x208 Two Pass
