OK, So I've tried two titles so far, both unsuccessfully, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I think my mistake may be that I expect not to have to do any manual editing of the project in Scenarist after Scenaid generates the script for me.

The first try (Goldmember R1) had the highlights correct in the end product, but no buttons. The second try (Elf) had neither, that I could see.

Either I'm not doing something I need to in Scenarist, or there is some difference to the IFO Update step?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Infinifilms are a pain in the butt...

more then likely your problems are from the subs/highlights being too close together... Scenarist requires they be at least so far appart and so long (duration of each and 2 next to each other)

I currently don't have any checks in place for that kinda issue...

I don't even care about keeping the whole thing - just wanted to know I could if I wanted to.. You know, for sport?

yeah you can.... just will take a little manual work

interesting thing is that Scenarist didn't error out on you.. usually when there's a HLI issue it does

which makes me think it might be a single HLI causing the issue....

D3s7 there are some major issues with script. Substreams 1,2,5,6 correspond with the highlights. Streams 3 & 4 are totally different. Strange. It is almost as though the additional dummy subs required in these 2 streams are not present.
Foxmid i am amazed you even got it to compile. This is the problem. I suggest liasing with D3s7 on this one.

I got some major issues with the goldmember script when I tried it in Muxman 0.15 caused by duplicate Menu ID statements. It seems that every PGC has two Menu ID statements, the first is correct, then followed by a second that states either "Root Menu" or "Title Menu". Here's the log:

D3s7 Elf is a bit different. The highlights and subs look sound, except that scenarist has altered the duration of the subs in streams 4,5,6,7. The script has the correct duration. Another one of those scenarist PITA issues. I can't explain why yet. I have considered our normal problems (that afflict us both) but nothing seems out of the oridinary here.

Partial explanation.
One example the data end time of sub (with stop enabled) is Data End Time=00:00:06:23, yet the duration in the track is Duration=00:00:06:26. It seems that scenarist expects the duration to have been 00:00:06:24. A 2 frame discrepancy. This may well account for the additional 2 frames that have been added to the actual duration in the track, hence the HLI error

Well, don't get me wrong when I say I got it to compile - there were plenty of those stupid 2 frame discrepancies between the HL and the sub picture streams, which I remedied by setting them both to the same start time and duration (normally only the duration is off).

The way the Infinifilms are set is the same movie with a crapload of chapter points in the second pgc (infinifilm version), which then seems like it has 18 subtitle streams (ok, i'm overexaggerating).. I guess it wouldn't hurt to sit down and look at the authored IFO versus the original to see maybe where my problem is..

edit: hmm.. i did already fix it...
Foxmid, what version of Scenaid did you use to generate these scripts?
