I think too much fluctuating rendering rate is close to useless.
IMHO It would be better moving, or total average value, wouldnt it ?

I think you're asking on the wrong forums...

But why would your suggestion be better? I you average the rate and the rendering would come to an halt somewhere for whatever reason, it might take a while before you notice. The way it is now youll spot it almost immediately.

Other than that, its not a very important feature anyway.

I thought Vdub forum is right enough for Vdub related things. Maybe I thought about development forums at sourceforge.org, but I was looking from common user point of view, at Sourceforge I always feel getting lost.

The is enough mark of progressing dubbing even in Status window,
but if I want to see speed of filtering, number fluctuating from 3 to 11 is not worth enough for me.

What I meant is: no active VirtualDub(Mod) developer reads this...

I still don't see the real importance of your point though... what real good does it have to know the rendering rate?

Seeing vdub or Avisynth filter chain speed...

isnt better to just measure the total rendering time then and devide by number of frames?

Why should I count if I can see directly.
And if rendering stails, I can see stopped framenumber..
