I have ripped episodes from an episodic disk using dvd decrypter 3.5.4.0. Out of the 10 episodes on 2 different disks, 3 of them freeze at the beginning of the analysing source process when using autogk both 2.07b and 2.08b. The rest of the 10 episodes ran through without a hitch. Any ideas what I can do to fix this problem?
Thanks very much for any suggestions/help on the matter

Hello, and welcome to the forum.
"Sounds" like a possible hardware problem to me, based on the information you've supplied so far. See if Hardware problems / How to test system stability (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=54130) helps.

Thanks for the reply.
I am no expert in regards to any possible hardware problems but it just seems slightly unlikely since this is the only DVD of many I have ever had a problem with, before and after trying to encode these particular 3 episodes. Its probably just something funky in the encoding of those particular episodes that fowles it up. I reripped the DVDs, re-extracted the episode vobs and all this leads me away from a hardware problem.
I think I may have found a solution however. In a quick test I converted part of one of the episodes to uncompressed AVI and converted that small part with a problem using AutoGK. To be sure I have to clear off some major harddrive room to convert an entire episode to uncompressed AVI but from the test I am hopefull. I sure do hope its not a hardware problem because this system was _way_ to darn expensive to have to start switching out these 400GB hardrives lol
Thanks again, I will let you know how it all turns out

Just thought I would touch base and let yawl know it worked. I did have to de-interlace the source in virtualdub because AGK saw the output as progressive since the uncompressed AVI was obviously progressive. I dont see any noticable quality loss so I am happy and will keep this solution in mind in case this problem ever arise in AGK again.
Cheers :)
