View Full Version : VOB ID Re-Mux errors

I have read various threads that talk about not dummying the audio on a VOB ID project, and I haven't done any dummying - I've got the demux completed, and have recompressed the m2v files that needed it, but I am having a hell of a time getting the project compiled.

I'm getting a whole host of errors, either the video is different frame length than the audio by 3 frames or so, or the video is not a even number of frames.

I've tried changing the script, adjusting the times in the track editor, and can't seem to make it work.

Is there a setting I can use in Batch CCE to ensure I get the same number of frames in the re-encoded video files as the originals?

I've been working on this stupid movie for what feels like forever, and am making little to no headway. Thanks for any advice you guys have..

How have you created the scp. I assume it was with scenaid. Have you selected 'add silence to a vobid demux' in the audio settings? This lengthens the audio by more than the video length, so that scenarist can truncate it to the correct length.

If the video is the incorrect length, then try the new scenaid build and use the dgindex option (requires dgindex & dll in thescenaid folder). Perhaps frames are being dropped with dvd2avi?

I would also suggest that you use batchencodem2v (see the sticky) to encode the files. The reason - it uses revpulldown.exe on the final file to correct any part frame errors, which stops any scene errors in scenarist.

Hope that helps

Zeul,

Thanks for your advice - I will proceed with your direction, hopefully to better results than on my own.

Thanks, Trahald. I will be looking for a new version - may as well put this project on hold, as it's getting very frustrating.
