can't play avi

i'm not entirely new to autogk i used v 1.25 to make a few backups, anyhow i installed 2.07 recently and tried to backup brotherhood of the wolf with both audio streams in 2 700mb avi', and and the end i got a botf.avi and botf.cd1.avi and botf.cd2.avi among a bunch of other files, anyhow the filed wouldnt play in bsplayer, mpc. wmp or gspot etc (all the apps crash when i try to play the files) i could only get them to paly with vlc and nero showtime so i thought maybe it was due to the beta so i unsinatalled and reinstalled the latest stable release but same problem again.

It's not autogk. You have some kind of problems with directshow decoders.
Uninstall ANY codec pack (never install them!!!) and clean up everything. Reinstall only the needed codecs (ensure you have the latest versions...) and reinstall AutoGK.
