I used dvddecrypter to copy the vobs, and as i tried to demux the audio i got this "MPEG1 streams not currently supported" error from DGIndex (newest version, 1.30)
error appears on both demuxing directly from dvd/ripped vobs

If you are just trying to demux the audio, you can use VOBEdit.

but it is a dvd (matrix reloaded)..not an mpeg1 stream
meanwhile i've tried ripping with smartripper, then using dgindex to demux..works fine :)

This could be the "emulated sequence header" problem:

I am trying to backup National Treasure, tis region 3, ripped VOBs same as usual but get 'MPEG1 streams not supported'. tried a few other programs, VOB blanker etc, but they will not touch it either. ripped several times to confirm not ripping error. All my other DVDs do not exhibit this behaviour.

That seems to be working but now i get a new error. This is probably not related to dgindex but ill give the info here and you can let me know where to go from there. The audio seems to be extracted ok (ac3) but I dont see the video?
the error :
Avisynth open failure:
Evaluate: Unrecognized exception!
(D:/%path%/agk_tmp/%movie%.avs, line 19)
I guess i might need to move this over to the avisynth forum? I am a bit of a novice with this encoding lark. I use AutoGordianKnot. ver 2.09beta.

I answered in the AGK forum thread that you started.
