View Full Version : Cutting some part of a movie without recompressing, possible ?
Hi, I would like to know if/how it is possible to cut some part of a movie using VirtualDub but withtout having to recompress the entire file. As far as I know if I dont pick a compress mode when doing so, I get a very very large file.. But having to recompress my movies takes ~25min each time. It is possible to cimply cut and save ?

As long as it isn't MPEG2, choose "Direct Stream Copy" The edited version will be saved with no recompression. NO FILTERING IS POSSIBLE

And as long is mpeg1-2, there is plenty of tools to do, also free, also on this site.
