I've got an infinifilm movie I'm working on that has a lot of as-is pgc clips, something like 65 or so of them.

Each one is giving me a bitrate too high error upon import into scenarist. I know I can use DVD Patcher to get the bitrate fixed without reencoding, but I have to manually do each one.

Is there a utility that will do this for me? I'm lazy...

hmmm... do you get that error when you manually drop them in scenarist?

It could be just the bitrate in the script

Nope...

Unfortunately, when I drop them in, I get the same message, it's after Scenarist reads through the video file and creates the .VIF - so it's actually stamped at a bitrate that's too high.

Am I paranoid to think that some of these issues are just to make it difficult to back these DVDs up? I just have this picture of a maniac DVD Authoring tech for the MPAA doing an evil laugh in their studio somewhere.

Guess its time to go and do each and every one of these stupid files..

more then likely your no-cce file is from a slideshow which is causing the problem

easy solution is to remove the .avs and re-scan/re-import
