mpeg2 opening problem + NEW PROBLEM still unsolved.

recorded a TV show with my TV card in a mpeg2 format 720X576 resolution. 9.50 Mbits/s bitrate. When i try to open the file with VDub it says 'No video frames found in Mpeg file'

This never occured when i recorded with my TV card shows in mpeg 1 format.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Ok fixed it, now I have already set my compression settings for the video. Found the audio compression options under the 'Streams' option. However why can't i compress with sound at stuff higher than 56kbits/s in MP3 format? When using VirtualDub, I downloaded Radium MP3 codec and i could then compress in 128Kbits to 192Kbits. How do i do this for VDubMod?

VirtualDub cannot open mpeg2 files, use VirtualDubMod instead.

VirtualDubMpeg2 is able to open mpeg2 files too.
But don't forget you can only save as avi files when using those programs.
