Hi to all!
I need an information about the "logic" behind the menus (root, title, audio etc) and the standalones DVD players.
I have a standalone DVD player and I have this problem:
If I'm watching a movie and I press "Main Menu" I return (correctly) to the Main Menu; but if I press again "Main Menu" the player "resume" the movie (so I return to the movie). This is quite strange because in EVERY software DVD player (WinDVD, PowerDVD, CinePlayer, CineMaster, TheaterTek) If I press Main Menu (unlimited times) I return always to Main Menu without resuming. The big problem is that the "resuming" skip all Pre/Post commands so the authoring tend to fails in some circumstances (no error with software DVD player that don't do the resume).
Also... the resuming "skip" the PUOs (i have some PGC where the Root menu is disabled, but in the standalone I can press Main Menu anyway because it resume the latest movie)

I would like to know if there's a workaround to "disable" this resuming (I've Prohibited the "resume" in the PUOs but seems to not work).

Thanks!

Turn off the "Root Menu" in the User OPs for the menu pgc. This will prevent the user from pressing "Menu" in their remote while they're in the menu system. All the DVDs I have done, the only 2 things users can do in a menu system is "Stop" and "Button Selection". And I've had no problems with resuming when it shouldn't be. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, but the problem is that even if i disable the Root Menu, the standalone DVD player "accept" the command and rather than go to Root Menu the player do the resume (seems that discard the PUOs and always try to resume. I can disable the Root/Title/Audio menu but they're very useful in some circumstances.
Thanks again.
