I have recently encoutered a problem where a video that I'm playing will start skipping after exactly 45 minutes of playing. It happens with media player classic, bsplayer, even power dvd. VLC is the only one that does do it, which leads me to believe it has something to do with the codecs. I have uninstalled ffdshow and xvid and reinstalled, but no luck. Any ideas what could be going on here?

Firstly sorry my english.

You can use windows tool that joins files in your harddisc. And u can try uninstall all avs codecs and use only XviD. Maybe 2 or more decodecs try to open XviD films.

You mean defragmenter? I ran a defrag, but it didn't help. I eventually figured it out, the problem was that audio hardware acceleration had somehow been disabled. I turned it back on, and it works fine now. For those interested, run > dxdiag > sound
