Interlaced XviD playback.

I have a XviD/AC3 AVI that is interlaced (640x480x29.971). Is there a container format I can use for this file that has an interlaced 'flag' so that when that file is played, deinterlacing can be automatically switched on? At the moment I have to switch it on manually in ffdshow.

Edit: maybe not. It reports that the video stream is not interlaced but I have no option to change it.

Option is in ffdshow decoder configuration [image settings - preset autoload conditions - on file name match] and have its own post processing values load.
