Is it possible to transfer 50 fps video from miniDV to PC?

I own a 50 fps capable miniDV camcorder. I wanted to transfer all frames from 50 fps video, but it apears that firewire only works with 25/30 fps. Is there any way that I can do this?

Are you sure its (full res) 50 frames/s and not 25 interlaced frames/s?
Also when you transfer something from your MiniDV cam to the PC via firewire, the original DV stream stays intact, there is no frame halving or reencoding going on - its a simple 'file copy process'.

well, i am not sure to be honest.
On my display on camera, i have 25 fps but each frame has 2 pictures in it. I could be that it is 25 fps and what I am seeing is actualy 2 fields. Each one might be duplicated so i can see 50 fps instead of 25. Could be, I'm not sure.
