adding intro on already authord dvd

(First of all sry about my english.)

After visiting some sites about dvd authoring i was sended here.

The problem is this.
I have created a dvd using tmpgenc dvd author w/ menus and stuff. Now i want to add a intro before the menu. I have already created a mpg file that will be my intro, and i know that i have to autho it. But i dont know how to add it before my menu. Im a n00b and i hope you people can help me so that i understand what im suppos to do.

Im guessing i have to use PGCEdit or IFOEdit.

(I have tried to search but didnt find anything that did help me)

Welcome to the club USit,

Yes, PGCedit can help you with that. BUT the one function in the MACRO utility that I know of imports the intro BEFORE the main movie, NOT the main menu. Having said that, I'm sure it can be done. I strongly encourage you to fool around with PgcEdit to gain the concept. Make sure you keep the backup safely away though!

You can create the intro clip as another menu page, just with no buttons. Then with PGCEdit make the intro clip play first then move onto the actual menu.

If you don't want to have to re-author the ENTIRE DVD, try this.
-Create a blank (2-3seconds) MPEG2 clip
-Open your DVD authoring project and re-insert the blank clip in place of your main movie titles.
-Make the adjustments to your menu, then author it.
At this point you're basically only authoring the menu which points to blank video clips. This will save a lot of time because you're not wasting time re-copying your main movie files when you don't really have to.

-Open your exisiting DVD (the one with the main movies) with PGCEdit, and import the menu you have just created.
-Make a few adjustments to the order of play and you're all done!

The simplest way to do this is to use muxman to create a DVD with your intro only. Then, load your original DVD in PgcEdit, and select "Macros -> Import First-Play (startup) Clip". Follow the instructions.
The intro clip will be played once, when you insert the DVD in the player.
