I'm sorry, but you have given absolutely no information. No one knows what version of anything you are using, what you are trying to use it on, or how you have tried to use it. Since people can't read minds, your post will probably receive very little attention.

When you get the error, choose "File \ Copy status to clipboard" in rebuilder and paste the info into a reply.

People need to see this information to try and help.

Options > setup > Path to HC Encoder - point to "HCbatch_014.exe"

SpazzHH
24th April 2005, 20:41
Under the "Options" tab, Choose "Setup". You will see one of the lines says "Path to HC encoder". You must then specify the location of the file "HCbatch.exe".

@elizerrojas
Have you tried to use the Installer to setup your DVD Rebuilder?
Do you own a Professional version of DVD Rebuilder?

elizerrojas
25th April 2005, 00:49
yes i do own RB pro/ how do i use installer to set up?

Rockas
25th April 2005, 11:47
Use it normally, then you just have to replace the Rebuilder.exe (v.0.84 Freeware) with your Rebuilder.exe 0.86 PRO.

If you want to use HC Encoder(0.14)... download it from the Encoders Section (on www.dvdrebuilder.com or search the download link here in the forum) extract the "HCBatch_14.exe" (if you want to use the installer definitions, rename it to HC.EXE) and put it on the folder "Encoders\HC Encoder" under the directory where you installed DVD Rebuilder.

I've noticed you have selected the option "movie only".

As a consequence you are getting:
"Reduction Level for DVD-5: 100.0%"

This means you DO NOT NEED to encode your movie. It seems to me that in these cases RB chokes (or the encoders choke).

So my suggestion: To backup this DVD in "Movie only" use DVD Shrink Re-author mode. As you would not need to encode, the quality would be Equal to the original.

And for testing your RB setup, I would try to do a FULL backup of your source.

Just after it works on a full backup. I'll start testing RB's new features (as teh "movie olnly")

yes, u r right but, i need to solve my rb problem because not all movies i back up will be main movie and also because not all movies r 100% some will need compression even on main movie only mode in which case RB will output best quality.

Yes I know.

But first things first. As I say before, be sure we have a working installation of RB for a full backup before trying to debug a problem in the Movie Only mode
