View Full Version : Help File For Rebuilder

As some of you may have noticed there's a new option on the Help Menu of DVD Rebuilder 0.86 called "Contents".

If you want to use that option you can download the needed CHM file from here:
http://dvd-rb.dvd2go.org/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=14 (At the bottom of the page).

Just unzip the file into Rebuilder's folder.

Those who used my installer must do this too for two reasons...
1. This is a newer version than the one included on the last Installer.

2. I have to change the Installer so it puts the Help file on Rebuilder's folder... (at this point it is creating a folder named "Help" under Rebuilder's folder).

If you find any errors on that file, please point it out to me.

About the contents of the Help file - I think they are pretty complete and I suggest that, if you are a beginner, you read it all at least once, may save you from trouble.

It is also written on it but I'll write it here again... my thanks go to every one that helped me, by specially to wmansir... a great part of the content was collected by him... I just completed with the new stuff and inserted some Images :)

Thanks.

edit: Corrected the link... sorry :o

Remember... nothing is perfect... so, I'm hoping to get some feedback to keep this better.

Thanks

WOW! Very good work! I've not read it from cover to cover yet I've just cast a glance (because for me it is a bit difficult to read it with complete understanding) but IMO well done :) Thanks a lot! I'm gonna use it :D

Actually, I had to navigate through a couple of other links before I finally found the help file...

Very informative and the layout is superb, recommended reading.

One tiny thing, the Menu File has an option for "Status Logging On" which isn't included.

Best wishes,
Winny

Excellent work Rockas !!!

Just one little thing:

ECLCCE -- You need this if you are using CCE 2.5 or a TRIAL version of CCE 2.66 or greater.

Maybe, you could add a line saying that trial versions of CCE 2.70.xx or greater don't need ECLCEE anymore. It took me a while to figure this out in the past, :D

:D

Wow, that was really too fast !!! :D

Do I need to use eclCCE.exe with DVD-RB?

If you have a newer version of CCE that you have purchased, you don't need to use EclCCE. But if using CCE v2.50 (which is very popular) or any trial version (except 2.70 or superior), yes, you must use eclCCE. Version 2.50 and trial versions do not support command line parameter passing and/or saving/loading of .ECL (CCE Project) files. If you used the Installer, all this steps are done automatically.

ECLCCE -- You need this if you are using CCE 2.5 or a TRIAL version of CCE 2.66 or 2.67. The latest versions (2.70 or superior) don't need it.

You're doing an excellent work Rockas with your RB installer and help files, please keep going like this !!! ;)

Hi Rockas

I missing this in "Hidden Settings" : CCEAQM=1 a new "hidden" setting in the [Options] area of REBUILDER.INI for enabling CCE's adaptive quantizer matrices feature.

cannot speak for him, but could he mean
- Added an INI variable through which the header for "CCE SP Trial" .ECL
files can be modified. The variable is called "CCE_Trial_Header" and it
is located in the "Options" area of "REBUILDER.INI" (used for hacks).
Default value is "; CCE SP Trial Version -- Encoder Control List".

It isn't "used for hacks" -- I put it there so I wouldn't have to recode every time they changed it (as they did in v2.70). If you go back a version you would have needed ECLCCE and the header would have been different.
