I was using vdubmod 1.5.10 when I tried this

I have this anime file that i need to change before i burn it to a dvd and i saw from another guide that i should extract the audio from the video and then run it through foobar2000 to change it to a .wav. However when i go to extract it i get this error message....

http://img202.echo.cx/my.php?image=virtualdubmod5rs.png

it looks like that...so what should i do...???? Should i change the header thing...????

Also i extracted the video already....so do i have to delete it and re-extract it again after i change the header thing....?????

Lastly, after i ripped the audio out, my windows can't play it anymore...is this something to do with the improper vbr thing?

When i tried to use foobar to convert to .wav i get this.. It says no audio decompressor could be found to decompress the source audio format. However when i play the file in media player for example the sound is just fine.

Am i missing something here...

the description of the audio is:

AVI audio stream 1 [tag 0x00FF, UNknown]

any ideas.....

O yea.... when i go to Gspot and i load the file, the audio still is unknown but when i render it it tells me the RealAudio Decoder is the audio decoder and the Default Direct Sound device is the audio renderer. Don't know what any of this means and i'm not sure if it helps......

Someone suggests i use graphedit but i have no idea how to use it at all...Can amyone link me to a step-by-step guide (i'm really a noob)

All help is greatly appreicated in advance

No...

If your file is an AVI, you can extract audio like this (http://www.doom9.org/virtualdub_procedures.htm#extractmp3) with Virtualdub.

the audio is some file with an unknown codec...

however its plays fine on my comp, yet the codec is unknown

when i go to render the file in gspot he audio path is...

(S) --> AVI Splitter --> RealAudio Decoder --> (R)

with a default directsound renderer...?????

My bad this was suppose to be a reply to the improper vbr thread....oppps
