I have never had a problem ripping an audio track from a Xvid avi file. Until now that is. I ran gspot on it and it shows (AC3 0x2000 dolby...... 448kb 5ch cbr 48Khz. I have always used Oss audio extractor before using tmpg and author. I just cant get the audio out of this file... Any tips or links would be greatly appreciated.

extracted the ac3 and wav and gets no sound but has correct size. Cant figure out why there is no audio. Gspot said it was correct, and virtual dub confirmed the size but it wont even play the sound.
Can you play extracted files using VLC player?

Nope I take it its probably corrupted?.?
I think that is the first case when you are dealing with real AC3 5.1 audio.
In VirtualDubMod try to DEMUX audio and try to Save WAW,
or better use AviMuxGUI for demuxing audio(s)
For trainning purposes use this sample with several 6channel audio tracks 666test+ac3+aac+pgg+mp3 +mp2.mkv
