Help!! Newbie!! AVI very jerky??

Guys,

Can you please help?

I have been playing with some wedding footage captured on my DV camcorder.

I have edited etc and have saved as avi. It plays fine on my PC but is incredibly jerky on my xbox......any ideas???

Hi Stace,
You might get a better response on the XBoxMediaCenter forums since thats the program you seem to be having problems with.

You could try updating your XBMC version, might help. Do other DV movies of the same sort play ok?

It might be something with the codec. Any othe avi's (Xvid, Divx) are cool and anything i've encoded to mpeg is also fine!!

Either the xbox isnt fast enough to decode DV streams in real time (due to CPU / drive) or the used software (XBMC) is the problem. As said check the software official page for more information.

I'll check out the xbmc forum but too be honest its probably the xbox hardware.
