ERROR when updating to 2.06 AGK

has anything major changed on the update method with 2.06? i just cannot use it, while installing it comes up with an error mssg ERROR LOADING SYSSETUP ... SYSTEM CANNOT FIND THE FILE SPECIFIED. to the best of my knowledge, my system has not changed.

going back to 2.05 is just fine. again 2.06, ERROR and abort.

You have the same error message when upgrading from 1.95 to 2.06 AND from 2.05 to 2.06? Or just one of the cases?
I got the upgrade but didn't install it yet, still using 2.05. I'll upgrade when I get home to see if I'll have problems.

from 205 to 206, ERROR as decribed.
back to 205, fine.
up to 206, ERROR.
back to 205, again fine. thats where i'll stay for a while.

tried now a second computer (also WIN98se), same result.

tks, that seems to be the same or similar problem. are only some machines affected? as i said, i tried two, and both would not install.

and: that means i shld stick to 2.0.5 for now, and it will get fixed in 2.0.7 or thereabouts? i am not pushing, just not sure if i could or should actually do something about it myself.

Just install AutoGK 2.0.6 without XVID.
Follow the link len0x gave one post above, look for my post,
and voila: download the xvid installer I've linked to.

Or wait for next release.....

am abit too afraid to possibly screw up something for future updates, and knowing lenoxes speed, he will have the new version out before i even know what is happening. meantime, for this weekend, 205 does fine.
