AC3Filter Versions

AC3Filter v0.70b and AC3Filter v1.01a RC5

I never know which version to install. What is recommended?

Older version is more stable, newer version has more features. If you don't need any of the features of 1.x (see the AC3Filter thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=76480&highlight=ac3filter) for information) stick with 0.70b.

I believe it's up to 1.02 beta now...( www.free-codecs.com ) That's the one I have installed and I have not had any problems with it playing audio. The web site for the author still only lists 0.70b so I don't know if he passed it off to someone else for the 1.x releases or just doesn't maintain his site..

As KpeX said, read the AC3Filter thread if you want more information. There is no need to make wild guesses over who may be or may not be doing what when you can have all the informations you want by reading this thread.
