Just wondering if AutoGK will be released in a x64 friendly version any time soon? I recently upgraded to Windows XP 64-bit Edition and would love to tke advantage of the new processing capabilities. I know XVID recently released a x64 compatable beta version, as did VirtualDub. I would like to use both, but I'm pretty sure AutoGK is hardcoded to look for VirtualDubMod (which isn't available in a x64 edition as far as I know) and from what I've read, if you aren't using a x64 version of VirtualDub, don't bother with the x64 XVID codec because you can't mix 32 and 64-bit versions.

Please advise if anyone knows of any development progress in this department or if any of the developers need a beta tester for any 64-bit testing.

I dont think it's possible until there will be 64 bit versions of all the software used by autogk (including Avisynth, Avisynth plugins, Virtualdubmod, DGDecode, DGIndex, all the audio stuff, etc.).
Then there's another problem: AutoGK is made in Delphi and there's no Delphi x64 compiler...

x64 bit would never happen, at least in the context of ASP codecs,
the fact is, like it was said above, for 64bit, everything has to also be 64bit,
and the fact is, even if everything was x64, you would only get about a 3-7% speed increase, that's it,
it's not worth the hassle, well for ASP codecs anyway,
AVC, that's another question?
but i'm guessing NO again, for the same reason already said, x64 codecs don't get that much benefit over there x32 counterpart,
with all the new hardware, and what with Quad CPU's, GPU acceleration, and "SpursEngine" technology moving forward so quickly, the need for those extra 2 - 7% from x64 codecs, becomes pointless in the grand scheme of things.

Video encoding just doesn't benefit using x64 power, not as much as we all would like anyway, video encoding needs bruteforce power, and advance CPU instruction Sets.
