how many times will autogk re-run the first pass? will it keep re-running till it gets the values that it wants?
I'm on my 5th re-run of the first pass. should I just let it keep running? I don't mind letting it run if it's doing what it's suppose to do. was just wondering if it was stuck in some kind of loop.

I'm useing 2.05 beta.

I think I figured out what my problem was. the avi I was inputting was smaller than the avi I was trying to create. it couldn't create a larger file so it was caught in a loop trying to get the correct specs.

nope I must be wrong. I tried again setting the output to the size of the input file and I'm still getting stuck re-running the first pass.

I did manage to get a good reencode with dr. divx so I'm not sure what the problem is.

I let it run over night and it did finish after a few re-runs. but the audio is badly out of sync.

I've come to think that it's not the fault of autogk. I think the original was just so poorly ripped. I've never had problem reencodeing other files just this one.

Several re-runs happen when compressibility is found to be too low/high and significant adjustments to the resolution has to be made after comp test. That results in non-predictable final quality which AutoGK tries to correct after each first pass.
