Hi there! Just a litle problem (I hope):
I've made and AVI back up from a DVD, I used Dr. DivX together with Avisynth frameserving (adding my own subtitles). With Dr. DivX I created a no audio AVI, then I converted the original AC3 to a CBR mp3 160 kb/s with BeLight/BeSweet and mux them with AVIMux GUI.
The problem is when I open the final AVI with VirtualDudMod, it comes the window saying that the audio is a VBR mp3... but I'm sure is not!
So, I think something happened when I mux the files with AVIMux GUI... I know for sure, that "force MP3 streams to VBR" option is unchecked, but the problem is still there.
Some ideas?
Greetings! :)

Try muxing the same Mp3 and no-audio AVI with vdubmod, and see if it is still detected as VBR.

Is it a problem that the file is being detected as VBR?

And what does GSpot says about the finished .avi? Audio is VBR or CBR?

@KpeX:
Good idea, I will try.
No, there is no problem... sometimes, when the mp3 is a VBR I get synch problems when try to cut the avi, no more than that.

@unskinnyboy:
Good idea too, I don't have Gspot here, but I could try to see what happen.

Thanks, I'll report soon.
Greetings!:)

I demux the avi file and remux it with VirtualDubMod... and everything ok, now, no window comes when I open the file with VirtualDub.
But check this out:

The mp3 is for sure a CBR 160 Kb/s, but look what AviMux shows...
May be it's a bug?

Try playing the file in foobar2000 - www.foobar2000.org and see what the status bar says.

Never mind!
The mp3 CBR file must be checked by AviMux at the beggining, otherwise it shows it as a VBR.
Does it.
Thanks! ;)
