Hello. Agk is state of the art, thanks. Can we expect having Divx 3.11 a possible application someday. Like GordianKnot regular do???
I don't know if this question already been asked.

Yes I know it is in GK. I don't know how many still uses DivX 3.11, but I switched over to XviD long time back (now Nero Digital/x264 too) and haven't gone back to the stone age. ;)

I do use it (3.11). Sometimes, if a source is problematic, I use AGK with DivX 5.0.5. Still I prefer 3.11 version for better static quality and sharpness. Maybe, if AVC becomes more mature, I'll switch to it.
I would be happy to use 3.11 with AGK.
len0x, poor excuse about 3.11 legality :-) Everyone knows about coorelation between MS MPEG-4 v3 and DivX ;-) and how it started. Still it didn't prevent DivX Networks from using this wording as their trade mark. Their every guide, every webpage, every release boasts about their role in DivX ;-). If it was that illegal, Microsoft would kill them :-). AutoGK is a front end for AviSynth/VirtualDub. Those applications use codecs, not AutoGK. For you it is just enough to add one more radio button.

MMMM. I'm not sure to understand well. Do you mean you are using Divx 5.05 with Uptodate AGK or a past version? If you are using newest AGK version with Divx 5.05 this is nice. Good to know. I don't know how far my Philips 642 will play Divx Version.... let's say Fusion, hopefully.

No mistake, DivX 5.0.5 and AGK 2.05b
I do not see any real difference (or not able to see) between 5.0.5 and all later versions in quality, and 5.0.5 was the last fast release. And I still prefer Win98SE; Fusion does not work on it.

Good to know Cybervera. Me too I don't find visible difference between 5.2.1 and 5.05 Divx encoders. A difference in encoding reducing the lengh of time would be a good reason to come back to 5.05. I figure it's long enough to encode, so I don't see reasons to make it even longer.:)

Right ...
By the way, what build of 5.0.5 you use? I know that official is "LoveCraft". Mine is SalvadorDali. They have only several minutes difference of their "birth" time (SalvadorDali was compiled earlier). Do you know any technical/performance difference between them?

PPPfffeeeeeeeeeeeeewwww!!!!! Where do I get that? I don't know. Right now I'm using Divx 5.2.1. I tough each time AGK had a new Divx encoder ready to use, it was better to change codec, and since I already purchased the software from Divx Network, it's very simple to update at no more cost (and what's 20.00$ US for such a good little software?). I have the 5.05 codec (ready to be installed) but not installed (only 5.2.1). But I remember that good old time, and for a reason I couldn't hardly explain (until you told me you where using 5.05 with latest AGK 2.05, I can say I am missing that good codec. Maybe I,ll come back to it..... Best Regards.
