CCE mpv too short, 23.97 pulldown problem?

i tried this without any pulldown (which i don't really understand fully) and then applied pulldown with pulldown.exe the length of the mpv was the same either way.

original avi: 01:32:49
ac3 or wav audio length: 01:32:49
CCE mpv: 01:07:17

i've tried it with CCE 2.50 also and that's even worse, then the time is just over 52 minutes.

is the framerate getting messed up somewhere? i converted an avi before and it was also 23.97 fps and i didn't run into any problems with the default CCE settings

well... i'm not sure what i did but one of the CCE SP 2.70 encodes works. ran pulldown.exe for the 2:3 pulldown.

the time was still off if i tried to play it in windows media player or any directshow media player. however if i opened it in virtualdubmod it had the time... something is going on that i don't fully understand.

but my authoring program was able to take the m2v and ac3 files and mux them together and it plays fine without any sync issues.

i'm not sure what the problem was before... if there ever was one to begin with.
