Hi Folks,
Does anyone know of an easy (and fast) way to backup a DVD with the full use of menus etc, but without those annoying previews? In other words the ability to pick and choose in detail what you want on the disc? I've been using DVD Decrypter and DVD2ONE which is great except your only 2 choices are "full disc" or "movie only". I love DVD2ONE's speed. Anything like that, but where you can eliminate previews while keeping the menus?
Thanks,

Hi-
That would be a combination of PGCEdit and VobBlanker. Use PGCEdit to make sure they don't play (pre and after-menu logos, warnings, movie previews and other junk):

And then use VobBlanker to actually remove them from the DVD, if for example, compressing a DVD9 down to DVD5. Or you can use VobBlanker to do both at the same time. If you use VobBlanker to get rid of such things as extras, don't forget to also use MenuEdit so you can't click on them.
Use those programs before running your DVD through DVD2ONE.

I haven't had a chance to try this yet, but I'm not sure about shrink. You would think that would work. When I get a chance I'm going to give all this a try and probably waste a few discs figuring it out. Thanks for you guys advice.

Using DVDShrink you can replace the previews with still images (one that states the previews have been removed is what I do) and save some space without changing the layout of the disc.
See this link for examples. (http://dvdshrink.info/title_replacements.php)
