Hello everyone,

Does have a big difference between dvd2avits and dgmpgdec130b3 in HD mode?
Why did the parameter Save Avi disappear in dgmpgdec130b3?
VDM + Huffyuv = DVDAVI-TS + Save Avi : True or False? Why?

Thank you.

DGMPGDec has better PID handling, can demux AAC audio, and can demux video, in addition to the fact that it doesn't lose source frames.

The Save AVI in DVD2AVI was brain-dead because it did not support OpenDML extensions (aka 4GB limit). Serve to VirtualDub and encode your AVI from there as you suggest.

Thank you for these precisions neuron2.

To soon ;)

Hello Neuron2,

In HD mode, it is often counseled to work with the program HDTV To Mpeg2 1.10.06 (steady) or the beta version 1.11 for the conversion of the fluxes Mpeg2 Ts in Mpeg2 Ps, whereas your Dgindex perfectly accomplishes this task.
Can you explain me this choice?

What defers your program of projectX to basis of Java?

Thank you to clarify my thought.

Maybe those counsels were made in ignorance of the existence of DGIndex. I've looked at the code and HDTV2MPEG is not doing anything important that DGIndex is not doing.

Sorry, but I don't understand your second question.

ProjectX is an identical program in HDTV To Mpeg2.
Apparently superior, but complex enough because it functions under JAVA.

What is your opinion?

Note: For nothing to hide you, I admire your DGindex program.
Sometimes, I have some problems of analyses, and I am obliged to turn me toward DVD2AVI v.1.76, or 1.77.3.

ProjectX is much more capable. There's no comparison.

Things don't get complicated just because they use Java!

If you are having to regress to older DVD2AVI versions, it would be appreciated if you would post appropriate bug reports here for DGMPGDec. Thank you.

I always thought that the human being bring to progress.
Otherwise, what would be my goal in life, and my role in this forum.

I am not there to amuse anyone.
I am a member of this forum, and I ask some questions because I don't possess the answers.
But I am interested because I am not of your level in this domain.
"One always needs a smaller than either ". I hope that this sentence will make you understand some things.

Henceforth, I would announce you my observations and the possible bugs on DGindex.

Thank you. To soon Neuron2 :)

Thanks, guada 2, that is certainly food for thought. I'll be grateful to receive your bug reports in the future.

Onward and upward!
