Hi all,

To jdobbs I have to say I find DVD-RB so easy to use and I can't thank you enough for coding up such a simple and well constructed piece of software. I can't get my head round the alternatives and they only seem to work some of the time anyway. Your program really does the business!! I even use it to compress my DVD menus... I use DVD Remake Pro to move large menu PGC's into a short dummy movie and compress them with DVD Rebuilder copy them back into the original with DVD Remake Pro-works everytime!! So enough of the flattery...:-)

MY FEATURE REQUEST--->
Would it be possible for the No Compression setting to still pass the custom specified Avisynth filters over the DVD video streams?? This would be useful for deinterlacing, etc. As Avisynth is so powerful and DVD-Rebuilder is so easy to use - this would be a great feature. As far as I can tell you have to have one of the Compression options selected before any specified Avisynth filters are actually processed.

Running it through AVISYNTH would require recompression. Are you suggesting maybe a feature that recompresses, but does it at the same size/bitrate as the original?

Ahh!! jjobs

Of course you are right.. You have to get back the frameserved video to MPEG-2...duh!! Sorry thats the problem with using software tools and not writing them...

Do you personally think that Procoder is better for interlaced sources? (I usually run 'Kernel Deinterlace' and 'Vague Denoiser'- 8 steps!! - over these). I will try using it for cleaning up my interlaced extras naturally with no actual compression over the original...

Thanks again...

Bob

I really don't use ProCoder enough to give an informed opinion. I do think the latest versions of CCE have improved in the way they handle interlaced material.

Hi

Can I use the CCE trial version 2.7 yet? I have a copy but EclCCE v1.81 didn't support it - last time I tried
(EclCCE 1.81 is latest version with R-B v0.74 right??) ...

Cheers

CCE 2.70 do not need EclCCE. :)
