Hi,

I am trying to capture video using virtualdub (1.5.10)
My OS is W2k Professional SP4.
My Video Capture Card is a Hauppage WinTV PVR 350 (PCI)

Capture works perfectly with WinTV, the program that comes with the card, but when trying to capture using virtualdub, it always says that device is being used by another process. I tried closing WinTV, Remote control program, deactivating MPEG2 compresion, and so on, but problem continues. Anybody knows how to solve this?

Hi again.

I forgot to ask something. A few months ago I tried to use MoreTV with that card. But it says that it could not find a BT8x8 chip. I think my card does not have any, but I am not sure. I tried using btwincap drivers, but card does not work with them installed. Does anybody know if this card has one of those chips?. If not, is there any way to emulate them?.

Virtualdub does not work with the Hauppauge 250/350/500.

That's right, PVR-250 and 350 only support capturing directly to MPEG and VirtualDub doesn't work. PVR-150 reportedly can capture to AVI although Hauppauge doesn't mention this.
