Hello,
I have used DV Type 1 codec to Transfer via Firewire.
AVIcodec tool shows DV codec as SONY (I heard Sony & Microsoft DV coedc are same ?)
For CCE I used following settings:
CCE Settings: NO Filter, VBR 3 pass,
9000(0-9500) ; ONLY 60min to be put on DVD
Quantizer characteristic=8
SELECT Try decoding AVI in YUY2 format
SELECT Try decoding AVI in 32-bit RGB format
Luminance Level=16-235
The resulting DVD looks little washed out.
BUT, if in CCE, if I change setting to:
DESELECT Try decoding AVI in YUY2 format
SELECT Try decoding AVI in 32-bit RGB format
Set Luminance Level to 0-255
(Rest Same)
I get darker video.
Please explain.
I was of the view that AVI file captured (by Ulead VS6) was in 16-235 range YUY2 ? Correct ?
Which is the correct setting ?
What tool can I use to find out AVI properties (RGB/YUY2, 0-255/16-235, interlace etc)?
