Hi.

I was wondering. CCE is the best there is. Is there any freeware encoder that can provide as good a quality as CCE ?

The net is full of free tools. One good example is GK; another one is AGK; still another one is DVDDecrypter...etc etc.

you should be able to find plenty of totally free and superb codecs

search for quenc, nuenc, freeenc, hc_enc,....
