rb settings for progressive scan dvd players

hello,i am backing up my dvd collection and going to play on a progressive scan dvd player.watching the movies on a 60" wide screen,what should i set the rb and cce 2.67 settings at for high quality picture.thanks

dont use any deinterlace options. thzt includes disable interlace avs option . that's designed for pal sources incorrectly flagged as interlaced i believe.

hello theseeker,thank you very much for your reply.can i ask you about the cce options?one pass vbr with analysis,is this option need the q value.also the advanced settings,how do you get the numbers for vbr_bias and quality prec.thanks

in general the defualt values are fine. try them and see if you are happy, if not then begin tweaking

hi jptheripper,i used the default settings but wanted to try the advanced features.would like to try putting in the bit rate or q value.read on it but confused:confused: .i have an idea of getting the bit rate but not sue where to put it.also is the q value the same thing.thanks.

The bitrate is calculated by DVD-RB to the maximum that can fit on a DVD. The most you could do would be to redistribute bits with RB-Opt.

The Q value is only related to OPV -- which would negate any bitrate settings.

after reading about rb-opt,i have a question.if i have a back up that has everything stripped but the main movie,do i still use rb-opt.also is thier any other tweaking that i can do.right now i rip with decrypter,load into dvd shrink.select main movie only,save with no compression.load into rb with cce 2.67,4 passes.english and no subs selected.

any info or comments would be great,thanks :)
