"d_skin Protective Disc Skins are a combination of the latest developments in micro-resin engineering and hi-tech manufacturing. The patent pending laser transparent Skin and micro-engineered outer ring technology are breakthroughs in disc protection. The ultra-thin Skin forms a protective barrier around your discs that render them nearly impervious to scratches and the cruelties of an active life. The outer ring is securely fused to the laser transparent Skin to keep the Skin firmly attached to your discs at all times, even while they play."

Available in the U.S. at Target stores.

I wonder if it forms an air-tight seal on the disc which would prevent or slow down dye degradation of recordables or if it only prevents scratches. Anyone use these?

at that price I wouldn't use them
that about $12 per 5 in my local money
neat idea though
but seeing as how it snaps on
I highly dought it creates a full air tight lock
but most likly a nearly full lock
so ti could help

My local Fox news channel did a segment on these and it got me wondering about them. In the past, I've seen the kind that were like clear stickers that you put on the bottom of the disc. But these have something what looks like an orange "O ring" that clips around to the top of the disc so not only the bottom is covered but also the edges. They "snap on". But I agree they are much too expensive.
